IC Philanthropy

In 2009, IC Philanthropy was established by the IC Council to teach tennis to disadvantaged children. In some communities, the sport provides an alternative path from life on the streets and the dangers of drugs and crime.

Our programmes also support young people with disabilities to improve their physical and mental skills whilst enjoying the company of others.

Meet a member: Jimmy Tasker, IC of Barbados @jimmy.tasker, born and raised in Barbados, was introduced to tennis at an early age by his father, a respected island coach. A natural left-hander, he excelled at junior and senior levels, representing Barbados in the Brandon Trophy from age 16 and later in Davis Cup matches (1989–1992). A Junior Wimbledon competitor in 1980, Jimmy played college tennis at Houston Baptist College and briefly
