Participation of IC Brasil around the world
The year 2022 was highly representative of IC Brasil, worldwide.
IC BRASIL PARTICIPATION IN WIMBLEDON 2022
President Mario Martins, represents IC Brazil at the event.
On July 3rd, Mr. Mario Martins, president of IC Brasil, participated in the AGM of The Council of International Lawn Tennis Clubs, held at the headquarters of the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association – Tennis in Great Britain, located in the city of Roehampton.
The 42 Presidents of the Council member countries, approved the accounts, IC Global, and the budget for the year 2023, the presidents had the opportunity to present their activity reports of 2021 and 2022, and launched the 2023 calendar of events to be held in each member country.
Following the AGM, they went to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where they could watch Wimbledon, the most traditional Tennis Tournament in the World.
Official Members’ Luncheon of The Council of International Lawn Tennis Clubs
Mario Martins – President of IC Brazil was present at the traditional luncheon offered by the LTA Lawn Tennis Association and the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, to all members of The Council of International Lawn Tennis Clubs, during the Wimbledon Grand Slam Tournament.
Members were able to spend time together and exchange experiences from their respective countries.
TRIBUTE TO THE PRESIDENT OF IC BRAZIL IN ROLAND GARROS
Mário Martins is honored with the highest honor given to foreigners by IC France.
IC Brazil was present at the Traditional Opening Cocktail Party of the Roland Garros Tournament, hosted on May 22 by Gilles Moretton President of the FFT _ French Tennis Federation and Gail Benedetti, Interim President of IC France. The venue chosen was the Restaurant Clubs de Loges – Le 1928 – Curt Suzanne Lenglen at Roland Garros. President Mario Martins was represented by Ernani Guilhon, who received the 2022 Yearbook with the record of the highest honor awarded to foreigners_ Mario Martins was awarded Honorary Member of IC Franca and the award was handed by Thierry Phan – President of IC Franca and Director of FFT _ French Tennis Federation.
Only 3 Brazilians have been awarded this great tribute: Thomaz Koch, who was the first Brazilian tennis player to win the mixed doubles tournament at Roland-Garros, in 1975, and Robert Falkenburg, tennis champion at the Wimbledon tournament in 1948.

ANNIVERSARY IC WEEK
Brazil is represented by President Mario Martins
From August 21st to 26th in Washington DC, the IC USA welcomed several countries and regions to celebrate its 90th anniversary: Germany, Luxembourg, Mexico, Belgium, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, New Zealand, South Africa South, Bahamas, Barbados, Ireland, Canada and the South American Team comprised by Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
There were 5 events in different Men´s and Women´s age categories: Columbus Trophy, Juego de Pelota, La Carreta, Mercelis Trophy and Windmill Trophy.
To meet the number of matches, IC USA offered 7 Clubs: Chevy Chase Club, Bethesda Country Club, Columbia Country Club, Congressional Country Club, Edemoor Tennis Club, Kenwood Country Club and Woodmont Country Club.
Several attractions marked the event. Tourism, Parties, Gastronomy, Fantastic Clubs and the Hospitality with which the athletes and guests were welcomed by the organizers and Directors of IC USA.
The official dinner, Mario Martins, President of IC Brasil, granted Mr. Donald Tansey, President of IC USA, the title of Honorary Member of IC Brasil, handing him the Official Brazilian Members’ tie.
